Todd Omohundro is a name that resonates with passion, dedication, and an unwavering love for music. Born in the heart of Pennsylvania, Todd’s journey from a young boy in Mechanicsburg to sharing stages with some of the world’s most iconic artists is nothing short of extraordinary. His musical journey is a tapestry woven with diverse influences, powerful performances, and a deep commitment to spreading the magic of music.
From an early age, Todd was enraptured by the melodies and rhythms that filled his world. In 1977, a life-changing moment came when he stood before Terry Kath of Chicago during a concert in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The energy, the fusion of jazz, rock, pop, classical, and world music styles—it was a mystical experience that ignited a fire in Todd’s soul. That night, he knew his calling: to become a musician who could bring that same magical joy to others.
Over the years, Todd’s musical path has been shaped by legendary performances. Whether it was the electrifying vibes of Billy Joel and Sting at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, the breathtaking spectacle of Riverdance in London with Michael Flatley, or his own five-year stint at a Dueling Piano Bar in Philadelphia, Todd absorbed and integrated these influences into his unique sound.
Todd Omohundro’s career spans over 6,000 performances across 25 years. He has shared the stage with powerhouses like Pink, the legendary jazz-rock group Chicago, The Philly Pops Festival Chorus, and The Philadelphia Orchestra. Each performance, whether in a grand concert hall or a school auditorium, carries his signature blend of musicality and soul.
But Todd’s influence extends far beyond the stage. As a dedicated public school music teacher in the Wissahickon School District, he has touched the lives of thousands of students. He’s directed eight Broadway Jr. musicals, led a drumline, chorus, strings, and even a school rock band. Todd’s classroom is a place where the next generation of musicians find their voices, inspired by his passion and commitment.
Todd is also an active member of the Broadway Dreams Music Theater Community, constantly expanding his horizons and connecting with other artists. His creative spirit even led him to the big screen, where he made a memorable appearance as a detective in the movie Law Abiding Citizen alongside Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx.
Todd Omohundro’s journey is far from over. With a heart full of music and a soul dedicated to inspiring others, he continues to explore new horizons, fuse genres, and bring joy to everyone he encounters. Todd’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and an unbreakable connection to the transformative power of music.
